Spring has finally sprung here in Southern California and with the promise of new life and rebirth our little garden is beginning to spring into life. This has by far been the wettest winter of my 10 years in California and much reminiscences of home in the South West of England have been upon my mind.
One piece of furniture i am particularly excited about this Spring is our Calais Dining Table. a simple and modest design featuring four gently tapered legs joined together using pegged mortise and tenon joinery for the apron and a lovely flat-sawn top.
The humble dining table symbolize's much and i am keen to see its resurgence as the main focal point in any home. We far to often over look the importance of our meal times and the fundamental healing a simple meal sat down at the dining table with friends and family can do for our souls well being.
