Chairs

After designing the Del Mar chair, the very first chair I ever made I had a season of obsession with building chairs. It was the feeling after spending so much time building a chair that afterwards the finished piece invites you to sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour to embrace you and connect you, becoming one with each other. All other furniture is used at a distance to hold something for you or store something you will need in a future time but the chair holds you. It invites you, creates opportunity to be with others, to encourage discussion and to relax.
